That was a good poem... very sad though... And maybe next time you should be more general. Like, instead of saying "As we got older, you had to go to war and leave me behind," you could say "As we got older, fate had ripped us apart," or something... Just so it can apply to more people (although the poem will still be about war to YOU). Just a thought though...
